Painlevé Analysis and Similarity Reductions for the Magma Equation

چکیده
In this paper, we examine a generalized magma equation for rational values of two parameters, m and n. Firstly, the similarity reductions are found using the Lie group method of infinitesimal transformations. The Painlevé ODE test is then applied to the travelling wave reduction, and the pairs of m and n which pass the test are identified. These particular pairs are further subjected to the ODE test on their other symmetry reductions. Only two cases remain which pass the ODE test for all such symmetry reductions and these are completely integrable. The case when m = 0, n = −1 is related to the Hirota–Satsuma equation and for m = 12 , n = − 1 2 , it is a real, generalized, pumped Maxwell–Bloch equation.

Lie symmetry analysis for Kawahara-KdV equations
We introduce a new solution for Kawahara-KdV equations. The Lie group analysis is used to carry out the integration of this equations. The similarity reductions and exact solutions are obtained based on the optimal system method.
متن کاملOn the Linearization of the Painlevé III-VI Equations and Reductions of the Three-Wave Resonant System
We extend similarity reductions of the coupled (2+1)-dimensional three-wave resonant interaction system to its Lax pair. Thus we obtain new 3× 3 matrix Fuchs–Garnier pairs for the third, fourth, and fifth Painlevé equations, together with the previously known Fuchs–Garnier pair for the sixth Painlevé equation. These Fuchs–Garnier pairs have an important feature: they are linear with respect to ...

متن کاملThe sixth Painlevé equation as similarity reduction of ĝl3 hierarchy
Scaling symmetry of ĝln-type Drinfel’d-Sokolov hierarchy is investigated. Applying similarity reduction to the hierarchy, one can obtain the Schlesinger equation with (n+1) regular singularities. Especially in the case of n = 3, the hierarchy contains the three-wave resonant system and the similarity reduction gives the generic case of the Painlevé VI equation. We also discuss Weyl group symmet...
